DESMI Ocean Guard is a newly founded company with three shareholders:
DESMI Ocean Guard is established for developing Ballast Water Treatment Systems. Utilizing the vessel operation expertise from A. P. Moller – Maersk, the water treatment expertise from Skjølstrup & Grønborg and the pumping expertise from DESMI is giving DESMI Ocean Guard a unique platform for being able to develop a reliable, cost effective and 100 % efficient Ballast Water Treatment System having all potential implications into consideration already from the very start of developing the system.
CEO for DESMI Ocean Guard is Christian Ingvorsen, with a background as marine engineer graduated from the A. P. Moller – Maersk Apprentice Program, and for a long period working for DESMI within the Marine Environment Business Area.

The company Skjølstrup & Grønborg is founded by the two engineers Jens Skjølstrup and Ole Grønborg, and today Skjølstrup & Grønborg is a leading company within sophisticated water treatment. The company is located in Aalborg, Denmark.
Especially Zoo’s with large basins constantly contaminated with organic material and public swimming pools treated effectively without the hazardous chlorine concentration just above the water line are within the Skjølstrup & Grønborg competences.
DESMI:
The DESMI group is one of the oldest companies in Denmark, located in Aalborg, Denmark. The mission of DESMI A/S is to develop, manufacture, sell, and service pumps and pumping systems, environmental equipment, and special products related to these areas.
DESMI A/S operates globally in sale and sourcing of components. Sales are effected both directly and through wholly or partly owned companies, agents, and distributors.
